Art Therapy

Life, work, and volunteer opportunities in the social and mental health fields including a MA in Art Therapy and Counseling all inform my practice of non-clinical art therapy. I am beginning to offer online individual and group sessions. If you have questions or are interested in either please let me know here and I will get back to you asap about details.
What is Non-Clinical Art Therapy?
Non-clinical art therapy (NCAT) uses psychology and creative process to explore and address therapeutic goals such as: anxiety, identity, grief/loss, mindfulness, stress management, loneliness, confidence, relationships, intuition, etc. Though NCAT can help identify potential mental health challenges, it does not diagnose and treat mental health disorders including PTSD, acute trauma, major depressive disorder, etc.
Who is Non-Clinical Art Therapy For?
NCAT is for anyone who:
-
Enjoys creativity and is seeking therapeutic support
-
Wants to grow a deeper sense of self
-
Wants to explore a personal challenge or therapeutic goal through the creative process
-
Wants to get in touch with their creative side
-
Needs therapeutic support and is open to utilizing the creative process
-
Has a creative goal and wants support executing said goal
-
Is not sure but open to an alternative process of therapy
